This position interacts with statewide FLVC stakeholders, providing access to library e-resources for more than 1.3 million students, faculty, and staff across all FCS and SUS institutions. It is expected that the individual in this role understands the electronic resource life cycle as described in the NASIG Core Competencies for Electronic Resource Librarians. Under the direction of the Director of E-Resources provides services in license management, including, editing and negotiating complex licensing contracts to secure advantageous terms that meet FLVC's service goals and ensure compliance with university policies. In collaboration with FLVC, member librarians, and FLVC's Contracts Administrator, the position is responsible for the negotiation of license provisions with vendors. Interprets and manages license provisions in the Electronic Resources Management System (currently Alma) for use by FLVC member libraries. Maintains license records in Consortia Manager. Manages an assigned portfolio of e-resources vendors associated with FLVC's group licensing program that is primarily led by the E-Resources Acquisitions Manager. Establishes ongoing business relationships with vendors to develop practices to offer licensing options that benefit FLVCs member institutions. Assists with managing the approximately $7 million state-funded collection of e-resources licensed to support the teaching, learning, and research needs of the twelve state universities and twenty-eight state colleges. Obtains price quotes and negotiates pricing with assigned vendors. Coordinates usage data projects associated with the state-funded collection. Provides direction and supervision for one FTE. Participates as needed on FLVC member negotiation teams. Participates and contributes to open access/transformative agreement developments. Assists with related functions and works on special projects as assigned, such as collecting and analyzing usage data, producing reports, and participating in the lifecycle management of electronic resources. *Qualifications* Bachelor's degree and four years’ experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: or a combination of post-high school education and experience equal to eight years.) Experience reviewing relevant documentation, such as sample contracts, licensing agreements, and our organization's contract management protocols. Ability to screen and create license records in ExLibris’ Alma and Consortia Manager. *Preferred Qualifications* Master's in Library Science or related degree and two years’ experience in electronic resource licensing.
