Rockefeller University Press (RUP) is working with theIPregistry.org (
https://theipregistry.org) to make the process of checking, monitoring, and updating the IP addresses used to authenticate access to content easier for subscribers to the Journal of Cell Biology (JCB), Journal of Experimental Medicine (JEM) and Journal of General Physiology (JGP). theIPregistry.org allows libraries to manage their IP addresses and broadcast changes to multiple publishers, including RUP, from a central location. Librarians can confirm that their information is correct in theIPregistry.org by taking the following steps:
-Log in or register for free with theIPregistry.org
-View the list of all publishers receiving your updates via theIPregistry.org
-Confirm all IPs currently registered to your institution
-Communicate any IP address updates in your theIPregistry.org account by adding or deleting the relevant IP address(es)
-Note that you will receive an error message if you enter an IP address that corresponds to the wrong country or is already registered to another institution
-If required, please supply supporting documentation
Once these steps are completed, the updates will be checked, verified, and updated on RUP's publishing platform when we have fully implemented theIPregistry.org. Questions about using theIPregistry.org can be directed to
