Hello, everyone! Join us in the OA2020 US Working Group’s third Community of Practice (CoP) call, focusing on securing faculty and administration alignment in preparation for negotiation of transformative open access agreements

Our speakers will include Dr. Kum-Kum Bhavnani, Distinguished Professor of Sociology at UC Santa Barbara and 2019-20 Chair of the University of California Academic Senate, and Curtis Brundy, AUL for Scholarly Communication of Iowa State University Library.

All are welcome, so join us in the next OA2020 Community of Practice on Wednesday, September 30th . Details and a link to register follow below.

Also, as this is a Community of Practice, we are looking for a few others willing to briefly share a success story or approach they have found to be effective in securing stakeholder buy-in. If you are interested, please get in touch directly with me.

Best wishes,
Anneliese Taylor, on behalf of the OA2020 US Working Group https://oa2020.us/

This Community of Practice Call is coordinated by the US OA2020 Working Group for library and academic faculty and staff who wish to learn and share knowledge around the practical aspects of Negotiating and Implementing OA and Transformative Agreements.

With the open access transition ushering in a new paradigm in scholarly publishing, this CoP call is intended to be an opportunity to ask questions, offer expertise garnered through experience, and to help build a culture of information-sharing within the library community.

While the Community of Practice Call organizers are affiliated with the global Open Access 2020 Initiative, being a signatory of OA2020 is not a requirement to participate in the call.
