The Association of Subscription Agents and Intermediaries has released
preliminary programme for its 2013 annual conference to be held in
London on 25-26 February 2013. To view the preliminary programme and

The conference, "The 3 Rs: Reach, Readership and Revenues", will cover
the publishing value chain from researchers to readers, featuring
presenters who are continuing to innovate and prevail in a constantly
evolving academic publishing world. "Irrespective of tools,
technologies and business models used, success in scholarly publishing
still comes down to reach, readership and revenues to sustain the
business enterprise."
The programme is organised around four sessions covering the main
stages of the supply of content from authors to readers:

Also scheduled for the conference is a panel discussion which will
debate both traditional and open access business models, trying to
answer the question, “Who pays?" Chaired by Mark Ware, panel members
will include: Stephen Barr, SAGE; Terry Bucknell, University of
Liverpool; Ken Chad, Ken Chad Consulting; Debbie Dore, Swets; Robert
Kiley, Wellcome Trust; Janet Peters, Cardiff University; and Kathryn
Spiller, BioScientifica.
