I'm sure I'm not the only one who spot checks these sorts of lists. Very quick look leads me to ask what's the process for fact checking this for accuracy and also what counts as a journal (I do note that it is the page title that says journals whereas the text says open access titles)? Lisa

This is a journal?
ALA Washington office newsline ISSN 1069-7799 http://www.ala.org/ala/washoff/washnews/news.htm 1992- Ed: American Library Association

Is immediate open, no moving wall.
College & research libraries P-ISSN 0010-0870 http://crl.acrl.org/ 1997- Ed: Association of College and Research Libraries Note: 6 month moving wall

Is immediate open, no moving wall. Also, is this a journal?

The founders/editors of this title will likely be surprised this is listed as an ACRL journal). As a member of the editorial board, I am.

Now Jan maintains what is probably the world’s largest list of open access journals in the humanities and social sciences, which he makes publicly available. Titles on the list come from all over the world and in many languages, and cover a wide range of humanities and social sciences disciplines, including music, philosophy, art and history.

In 2018, the published list included 35,000 open access titles. The list grew to 50,000 titles in 2021. This expanded list from 2023 now includes 60,000 titles. A list of 70,000 titles is expected by the end of 2025.
