Dear colleagues,

The Royal Society of Chemistry <https://www.rsc.org/> (RSC) and Lyrasis
<https://www.lyrasis.org/> have entered into an open access publishing
agreement
<https://www.lyrasis.org/content/Pages/product-details.aspx?pid=DB83C485-4E4E-ED11-80FE-00155D0A2732>
to
accelerate momentum toward global open access scholarship. Launched in 2023
and expanded in 2024, this partnership is one of the first and largest
consortial open access agreements with RSC in the United States to date.
Twenty-two colleges and universities representing more than 38,000 faculty
and 325,000 students have joined the agreement, publishing about 175
scholarly articles with RSC annually.

This agreement enables corresponding authors affiliated with participating
institutions to publish OA in more than 40 RSC scholarly journals, both
fully OA and hybrid, with no publishing fees or limits on OA articles
published. The agreement also provides reading access to the full RSC Gold
package of 50-plus scholarly journals. Authors who publish OA under this
agreement can select a CC BY or CC BY-NC open license. Institutional
participation in this agreement is available exclusively to Lyrasis members.

Full details and the text of the agreement are available on the Lyrasis
website
<https://www.lyrasis.org/content/Pages/product-details.aspx?pid=DB83C485-4E4E-ED11-80FE-00155D0A2732>
and
on the ESAC Registry
