To the Liblicense community,

As there has been a sense of urgency surrounding the addition of AI clauses
into licensing terms and conditions, the International Coalition of Library
Consortia (ICOLC) Coordinating Committee appointed an AI Task Force to
examine the issue early this year. The Task Force brought a statement
forward with guiding principles for AI Clauses that has now been approved
by the Coordinating Committee and posted to the ICOLC public website:

At this time, we are now seeking additional signatories/endorsements from
the consortia and library community at: https://forms.gle/Q1baAikGFRAaEMmJ8

Additionally, we welcome translations of this statement, which should be

The ICOLC AI Task Force is continuing to work on a negotiation guide as
well as additional commentary on best practices, all of which will be
incorporated into a final report and shared broadly.

Thank you in advance for your support and endorsements.

On behalf of the ICOLC AI Task Force,

Teri Oaks Gallaway, Ph.D.
Executive Director
