The ESAC Transformative Agreement Registry
<https://esac-initiative.org/about/transformative-agreements/agreement-registry/>
has surpassed the milestone of *one thousand agreements*!

The ESAC Registry has so far documented the negotiations of libraries and
consortia in more than *70 countries* with *60+ publishers*, which have
enabled scholars and scientists from around the world to publish more than *1
million peer-reviewed articles* immediately open access and without
author-facing fees.

With well over 100 new entries since the beginning of the year, the ESAC
Registry has seen a recent uptick in submissions, with contributions from
libraries and consortia in, among others, the United States, South Africa,
Germany and Hong Kong, and first-time agreements from Singapore, South
Korea and China.

An open tool developed by and for the international library community, the
ESAC Registry stands as the most extensive collection of agreement data,
terms and conditions, with near comprehensive coverage of agreements signed
by national-level library consortia. Yet with the more recent growth in
transformative open publishing agreements signed by individual institutions
across Asia and the Americas, more entries are needed to keep the picture
up to date!

*We invite institutions whose agreements are not yet in the registry to
submit them, and thus actively contribute to the improvement and
acceleration of the open access transition globally—here’s how:*

· the submission process prompts a self-evaluation of how each
agreement introduces stepwise improvements as the scope of agreements
shifts from subscriptions to open access publishing, allowing for
reflection and potential refinement of strategies

· institutions participate in a culture of transparency and
information sharing, contributing valuable insights that can inform further
negotiations and assist others in evaluating the impact of their own
agreements

· the Registry feeds into the ESAC Market Watch
<https://esac-initiative.org/market-watch/>, playing a crucial role in
building a comprehensive overview of the scholarly publishing landscape in
transition

*Enter your agreements* by filling out this form
<https://esac-initiative.org/about/transformative-agreements/share/> with
the public-facing details of your institutional agreement (share as
much/little as you wish). If you have any questions, do get in touch with
us at [log in to unmask]
