Perhaps, as people get more and more accustomed to reading articles
online and never seeing a journal issue in print form at all, they
will think less of the need to have the journal physically represented
in the library's collection.

Meanwhile, for those relying on ILL  to plug the gaps and supply
articles from unsubscribed journals, there is a relatively new service
from the Copyright Clearance Center called "Get It Now" that is nicely
supplementing traditional ILL:
