A couple of points on Sci-Hub. First, Sci-Hub and its sister site or
constellation of sites LibGen are posting book content as well as
journal content. Books and journals have different economic models as
far as royalties and author fees, and the motivation to prepare the
content by the author is usually quite different. Second, the misuse
of university security mechanisms raises the question of risk for
institutional content/information other than access to online
publications. I know these points have been made earlier, but they
seem to have gotten lost in recent postings.
