**apologies for cross-posting**

Libraries managing multiple digital platforms face questions about where
individual collections should live and what it might take to migrate a
collection from one platform to another.

Last year, Fort Hays State University successfully migrated their yearbooks
and ETDs to Digital Commons to make them more visible, accessible, and
searchable. In this webinar
<https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/1086340968192447491> Elizabeth
Chance, Digital Curation Librarian, will discuss the results of these
migrations, including:

   - Dramatically increased visibility and usage
   - Full-text searchability and more flexible metadata
   - Design elements and website organization to highlight historical
   content

Elizabeth will also share about how she and the rest of the team at Fort
Hays evaluated which collections to move, their methodology, successes, and
lessons learned.

*Title: *Evaluating, Planning, and Completing a Successful Migration: A
Case Study
