Yeah, it was Iowa State, I think some of their veterinarian science list
was also continued. I don’t think it was Pearson at the time but I can’t
find any record of the transaction online, and which ever publisher it was,
there’s a decent chance it’s part of Pearson now.

I remember it sending shivers through me the first time I heard about. Can
they do that? Yes, apparently, they can.

Closest I can recall is Pearson (I think) buying Iowa State Univ Press
25 or 30 years ago, mainly to get rights to some aviation texts.  The
rest of the list was discontinued and the staff fired, if I recall
correctly. Others may have a fuller memory of the event.
