******** APOLOGIES FOR CROSS POSTING ********

EDP Sciences, publisher of *Astronomy and Astrophysics (A&A)* are pleased
to announce that that the journal will move to *online only publication* at
the start of 2016.

*A&A* one of the leading journals in the field of astronomy and
astrophysics, publishing papers on all aspects of the discipline, is always
considering ways to best serve their authors and readers. Over the last few
years, it has become clear that demand has moved rapidly towards the
electronic version of the journal with the print version becoming less
important and increasingly obsolete.

EDP Sciences also understand that Librarians and Consortia Managers need to
ensure a robust archiving solution for their subscribed content. Therefore,
they have already put in place provisions for permanent archiving of their
e-journal content with their partnership with Portico, which gives surety
that content will remain secure and accessible into the future.

You can read more about this major change from Dr. Jan Lub, Chairperson of
the board of *A&A*
