*Student use of video on campus*
Saturday, January 9, 11:30am

Using real case studies, SAGE's Executive Market Research Manager,
Elisabeth Leonard, will give an update on her research of the student use
of video on campus. From the use of video inside the classroom to its use
for class assignments, to supplement course instruction, and to clarify
confusing concepts, Elisabeth will describe when and why students watch
video, and the types of videos that they prefer.

*Supporting entrepreneurship across campus*
Saturday, January 9, 2pm

In this 40-minute panel, we will hear from two librarians who support
entrepreneurship on campus share best practices, new ideas, and expertise,
followed by a Q&A with booth visitors.

. Ray Pun is the first year student success librarian at Cal State Fresno
who has collaborated with entrepreneurial student groups and career centers
and created library programs that focus on business research and
entrepreneurship.

. Susan Van Alstyneis a Library Director at Berkeley College (NJ). In her
role, Susan supports the Entrepreneurship Club on campus providing space,
supplies, and tech for weekly meetings and arranging trips to local
business groups in the community.

*How are research methods taught within the curriculum?*
Sunday, January 10th, 1:30pm

Sharlene Hesse-Biber is a celebrated research methods author and faculty
member at Boston College who works closely with her library in teaching
research methods to students. In this session, she will provide insight on
the type of research instruction that students receive inside the classroom
and where librarians and library research methods content can fit into that
process. She'll respond to the following questions and take questions from
the audience:

What do students learn at various levels of their academic careers?
What materials do they look for in their libraries?
How can librarians better support faculty who teach research methods?
How can faculty and librarians support students in conducting their first
research project?
How can faculty and librarians provide them with good exemplars of great
research?
