SAGE titles honored by Library Journal and ALA’S RUSA

Los Angeles (February 18, 2015) Four more SAGE titles have recently
received recognition for excellence. Library Journal has chosen three
titles to be included in its Best Reference 2014 list and ALA’s RUSA,
Reference and User Services Association, chose two titles for its
Outstanding Reference Sources list. One title, Encyclopedia of Humor
Studies, was included in both lists.

The annual Library Journal Best Reference list recognizes the top reference
titles that have been reviewed in the publication during the previous year.
The SAGE titles included this year are:
* Encyclopedia of Education Economics and Finance – Dominic J. Brewer,
Lawrence O Picus
* Encyclopedia of Humor Studies –Salvatore Attardo
* Encyclopedia of Social Media and Politics – Kerric Harvey

Each year, RUSA’s Outstanding Reference Sources Committee lists what they
call “the most noteworthy reference titles published in the previous
year” in their Outstanding References Sources list. The two SAGE titles
chosen to be included in the 2015 list are:
* The Encyclopedia of Deception –Timothy R. Levine
* The Encyclopedia of Humor Studies – Salvatore Attardo

“We are honored that our reference titles have been recognized again this
year by industry leaders like Library Journal and RUSA,” commented Michele
Sordi, SAGE Vice President of Editorial. “Now celebrating 50 years of
independent, academic publishing, SAGE remains dedicated to providing the
research community with first-class resources in a variety of
library-friendly formats."
