Subject: CRL digital repository analysis

Greetings. A few months back we invited you to be part of a small,
informal group to explore the benefits and costs of the various
e-journal preservation solutions
http://darchives.crl.edu/display/DADR/Reports , by sharing information
about the performance and costs of services such as LOCKSS, Portico, and
consortium-based hosting of e-journals and other electronic content. We
posted eleven survey questions about LOCKSS and Portico for you to
answer at
http://darchives.crl.edu/display/DADR/Survey+--+Eleven+Quick+Questions.

We would like to move ahead on this effort and so ask that you respond
to the survey questions, if you haven't already, as appropriate to your
situation, by July 30. (Please answer each question by using the "Reply
to This" button.) Your answers will be visible only to the other members
of our informal group
http://darchives.crl.edu/display/DADR/Group+Members

There will be a conference call to discuss the responses and decide on
next steps on Wednesday August 27 at noon, Central Standard Time. Please
let me know whether you can participate.

Many thanks.

Bernie
