Now Jan maintains what is probably the world’s largest list of open access
journals in the humanities and social sciences, which he makes publicly
available. Titles on the list come from all over the world and in many
languages, and cover a wide range of humanities and social sciences
disciplines, including music, philosophy, art and history.

In 2018, the published list included 35,000 open access titles. The list
grew to 50,000 titles in 2021. This expanded list from 2023 now includes 60,000
titles. A list of 70,000 titles is expected by the end of 2025.
