****Apologies for cross posting****

It is a pleasure to announce that REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN for the 2024
FORCE11 Scholarly Communications Institute (FSCI) and the FORCE11
Conference.

FSCI is happening virtually one week, and then in-person the next -
followed immediately by the in-person FORCE2024 Conference. This one-time
arrangement bring the two main FORCE11 events together into a single time
and space, to provide exceptional value to those that attend. Spend time in
classes & sessions discussing the problems we face in scholarly
communication, and discuss solutions drawn from all corners of the globe,
with all types of professionals engaged in the work.

Calendar of events:

· Virtual (online): July 22nd through July 26th

· Campus (in-person): July 29th through July 31st

· FORCE11 Conference: August 1st through August 3rd.

FSCI <https://force11.org/fsci-2024/> is proud to offer 16 courses
virtually and 13 courses in-person for you to choose from, taught by your
colleagues in Scholarly Communication from around the globe. Review our full
course list with abstracts

for further details. This year’s event will also include an array of
courses, plenary events, and community events in innovative publishing
practices, policy implementation, and other aspects of scholarly
communication.

The FORCE11 Conference <https://force11.org/conference/> planners are
constructing its agenda - assembling its array of plenary speakers,
lightning talks, session presentations, round tables, and the like. We
invite you to join the conversation by submitting a Session proposal today
<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdkCeGDlK1JNrSZNW5UypIAj0mL1Z1fiGV5P-2QNcxnnaBSQA/viewform>!
Applications are due on May 13th, 2024. Share what you've learned in your
work and look at the issues you deal with through a global lens. The
FORCE11 Conference is for you!

This year's in-person events will have a limited enrollment, with a maximum
capacity of 160 people for all events. Take a look and register today,
before it fills up! We recommend you read the registration instructions
<https://force11.org/fsci/post/registration-housing-2024/> to make the
process easier.

Scholarships will be available - apply today!

We understand that many FSCI and FORCE11 enthusiasts from around the globe
would love to attend, but the cost of travel and lodging can be
prohibitive. As in past years, we are offering scholarships to our
professional colleagues in scholarly communication, with the aim of
increasing attendance from the Global South(s). Simply fill out this form
<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdAZH2cqB0B165-roEZHVMLQguuK-PHh-eqW2xr0GVi50mdFg/viewform>
by Monday, May 13th. Our Scholarship committee will review applications
shortly after that date, and send out as many awards as our scholarship
budget allows.

Please join our community of scholars this July/August! Register for FSCI
and FORCE2024 today.
