Primary Research Group, www.Primaryresearch.com, is seeking a
librarian or copyright attorney to write a monograph of approximately
9,000-10,000 words on how libraries and university counsel are
advising scholars on legal and other guidelines on research sharing.
The report should cover areas such as: legal guidelines on research
sharing, types of agreements that can be reached with publishers,
types of agreements with digital repositories, rights retention
advisory, advice on contract signings, use of embargo periods, advice
on receipt of take down notices to libraries and scholars, and
recognition of article versions that might be posted without copyright
violation. The study aims to show how higher education institutions,
particularly large research universities, are advising and educating
faculty on the emerging world of research sharing. The study should
include 4 detailed profiles of libraries or university senior counsel,
and will also include a literature review with detailed author
commentary and bibliography. This is a compensated assignment. Send
