Hi Leyla,

Absolute numbers don't really provide a good indication if it doesn't
relate to the growth in the literature. I checked using CrossRef
<http://api.crossref.org/works?rows=0&facet=published:*> --- there is still
growth of OA faster than growth of literature, but not as impressive as the
absolute numbers show (the percentage here is potentially irrelevant,
because OASPA is not supposed to cover the whole literature, I figure). OA
is gaining ground, but not exponentially as the absolute numbers imply.

Cheers,
Chris

Dear all,

The latest post on the OASPA blog again shows a steady increase in the
number of CC-BY articles in fully-OA journals published by OASPA
members, but also compares other open access articles. All of the
figures collected are available for download from our website.

We are pleased to include data showing growth of the Directory of Open
Access Books (DOAB) again this year.

See: https://oaspa.org/steady-growth-fully-oa-journals-ccby-license/

Best wishes,
Leyla
